  good campground but it was out in the open and didn't have much shelter for rain.

  We always enjoy camping in Banff. Makes for a less expensive stay, and you still have all the amenities of Banff. My only complaint would be that we had a shared site. This site made it difficult for parking the trailer that doesn't box the truck in. Our site was 850.

  Update: "Alcohol ban in effect May Long Weekend". Coupled with the exorbitant price, crowds, lack of privacy, and absence of any charm, this is the worst campsite I have come across. And I've come across a lot. Full review: A single night in an unserviced site is $48. I wouldn't care so much if they were transparent about their prices. That $48 includes am $11 "reservation fee", as well as a mandatory $8 "fire permit" - the reservation fee you only see at check-out. This is kind of like being stuck in a desert and being charged $20 for a bottle of water. Sure, you don't have a lot of options, but the guy charging you is still a dick. And this is one of those industrial campsites that doesn't have any charm beyond being a place to sleep.
